Each user is required to have at least one 'Role' in Work.software.
- Admin: Will provide access to company settings and user management.
- Advisor: Read-only access to all the People, M.A.P.s, and I.I.P.s and the plays within the Playbook. An advisor can also add agenda items to meetings and attend meetings when invited.
- Advisor with Performance: This Advisor has all the access above, plus they can view Performance numbers for the Company.
- Lead: The Lead role applies to either a CEO or someone at the Leadership level who is the highest person in the organization on the Work.software platform. This role gives access to the Leadership view of all employees and activity in the system (Performance, People, and Playbook) and access to the Company M.A.P.
- Leadership: Access to the Leadership views (Performance, People and Playbook), all employee and department people scores, M.A.P.s, Individual Impact Plans (I.I.P.s), and all plays.
- GRC Lead: Primary person leading the organization's SOC 2 Audit.
- Department: The Department role is for managers. If employees report to this user, they need the Department role.
- Department Lead: If the Department Manager is the highest level employee in the Work.software platform, then this is the role they should assume, as they will not be evaluated by a manager above them.
- Interim Department: This category gives a current Department manager the ability to be the temporary manager of another department. This can also be used in the rare case that a Department Manager oversees 2+ departments. They would then have a primary Department and 2+ Interim Departments.
- Personal: Every person in the platform has a Personal role which shows their individual responsibilities in their personal dashboard.
- Board: Members of the Board of Directors require this role to access the Board view and Board M.A.P.s and I.I.Ps.
- Board Advisor: Board Advisors are given this role for read-only access to the Board view, M.A.P.s, I.I.Ps, and Board Documents.
- Investor: The Investor role provides access to the GCS (Growth Creation Score) data for all companies under investor portfolio management.
- Contributor: The Contributor role has access to the Playbook to view plays, create plays for other owners, and can make suggestions on existing plays.
- Auditor: In a SOC 2 audit, you can create a user that only has this one role, so that they can access the program in order to assess the progress of the audit and download current evidence.
